Hybrid-Electric Longline Vessel

Iceland's first hybrid-electric fishing vessel, currently under construction. Sólfaxi will combine a diesel-electric propulsion system with battery storage, reducing emissions by up to 40%. Named after the mythological horse that carries the sun.

This vessel represents Brimherji's commitment to our 2030 carbon neutrality goal and will serve as a blueprint for the next generation of sustainable fishing vessels.
